Another episode of America’s Got Talent auditions and way too many more singers put through to Vegas. At least in this audition episode we actually got to see some non singing acts that actually moved onto Vegas. That is actually becoming very very rare this season. I don’t know why America’s Got Talent has to show every single singing act that moves on while the show gives us just tiny little glimpses of most of the unique acts that move on. Hopefully America’s Got Talent is just storing some of the acts so there are surprises in the later rounds (I am not getting my hopes up for this being true). I honestly prefer watching the unique acts since I really don’t like watching singers sing (which is why I don’t watch American Idol). I am guessing most of the viewers prefer watching the singing acts though which is why America’s Got Talent has essentially become the summer American Idol.
Enough of my rant. Let’s get onto the performances.
The Texas Tenors (Tenor Singing Group): Not terrible singers but this show has had so many singers already moved on and there have been many better singers in my opinion. They could also use some work in my opinion. Moved On. Talent: C Entertainment: C
Bruce Thomas (Musician): How does making farting noises with your hands worth a million dollars? He has talent making those noises but I honestly don’t care (and I don’t think many other people do either). Not Moved On. Talent: D Entertainment: F
Other acts not moved on: Ruby Revue (Urban Burlesque), In Stereo (Flutists), and Crispy Family Carnival (Gimic Act).
AcroDunk (Basketball Act): A entertaining act for sure. They also have quite a bit of talent. Honestly the only thing I have against their act is that there are quite a few other dunking groups. That not a huge problem in my opinion. Definentely worthy of moving on in my opinion. They might actually be my favorite act so far of all the acts that have gotten an extended audition. Moved On. Talent: A- Entertainment: A-
Other acts moved on: Live in Color (Dance Group), Anna Pipoyah (Belly Dancer), and Eclipse (Rapper).
Eleisha Miller (Singer/Keyboard Player): She has an entertaining personality but her voice is severely lacking in my opinion. If being a cute kid is a talent she deserves to move on. Based on her singing she doesn’t deserve to move on though. Moved On. (Votes like this show me that America’s Got Talent isn’t based that much anymore on actual talent. The judges even admitted that her singing wasn’t up to par so it isn’t just me.) Talent: C- Entertainment: C+
Timez 2 (R&B Singing Group): Another average singing group in my opinion. The judges really need to be more picky on which singing acts they put through into the Vegas Round. At this point they probably already have 40-50 singing acts already in Vegas. I guess all the other singing acts moved on so I can’t be too harsh that they were moved on as well. I think the judges are going to have their work cut out for them though by having to weed out so many singers at the Vegas auditions. Moved On. Talent: C Entertainment: C-
Grandma Lee (Comic): For those of you who never watched Last Comic Standing, Grandma Lee actually made it to a semi-final round on Last Comic Standing. She was better on Last Comic Standing in my opinion than on America’s Got Talent. That was probably mostly due to the fact that in this performance she reused quite a few of the jokes she used on Last Comic Standing so I didn’t find them quite as funny since I had already heard them. Despite not really have much new material, Grandma Lee deserved to move on. Moved On. Talent: B Entertainment: B+
